Job description

The Logistics & Materials Coordinator supports electrical construction operations on large-scale data center projects by managing the receipt, coordination, delivery, tracking, and organization of materials on site. This role plays a critical part in maintaining production flow, jobsite safety, and material readiness for field crews.
The position works closely with Superintendents, Foremen, Project Managers, and Procurement to ensure materials are accurately received, properly staged, and available when needed.
Hourly Rate: $30 - $35 per hour
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Logistics, Receiving & Delivery
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, equipment, and tools against packing slips and purchase orders
• Coordinate on-site material deliveries and internal distribution to crews and work areas
• Stage materials in designated laydown areas to support construction sequencing and schedules
• Communicate delivery timelines, shortages, damages, or discrepancies to project leadership
Materials Coordination & Inventory
• Maintain accurate on-site material inventory, including tracking usage, shortages, and reorders
• Label, organize, and secure materials to prevent loss, damage, or misplacement
• Support material transfers between job sites, storage containers, or warehouses as required
• Assist with inventory counts, audits, and material reconciliation
Project Housekeeping & Site Support
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe material storage areas, containers, and laydown zones
• Support jobsite housekeeping standards in compliance with company, client, and safety requirements
• Remove debris, packaging, and unused materials to keep work areas production-ready
Coordination & Communication
• Work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews to anticipate material needs
• Provide regular material status updates and reports to project leadership
• Follow all safety policies, site-specific rules, and quality standards
Requirements
Required:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must have an electrical trade license
• Trade school coursework, construction management training, or logistics/warehouse education preferred
• Minimum of 1-3 years+ of experience in construction, logistics, warehouse operations, or material coordination preferred
• Experience supporting electrical, commercial, industrial, or data center construction projects strongly preferred
• Familiarity with electrical materials, tools, and jobsite logistics is a plus
• Experience reading packing slips, purchase orders, material lists, or basic construction documentation
Prior experience working on active construction sites with safety and housekeeping requirements
Associated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Working knowledge of electrical construction site logistics, material flow, and jobsite operations
• Basic understanding of electrical construction materials, tools, and equipment
• Ability to accurately receive, inspect, and track materials using packing slips, purchase orders, and inventory lists
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to coordinate material staging and delivery to support production schedules
• Attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records and prevent material loss or shortages
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Management
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with field crews, vendors, and internal teams
