As a Logistics Coordinator your goal is to coordinate our customers' movements by finding a qualified carrier to move their freight to meet all of their needs. You will be in direct contact with carriers to provide updates and negotiate rates on a daily basis. Being professional and courteous at times will be very important to your success.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures
  • Call on available loads to secure coverage
  • Book, track, and trace all shipments from cradle to grave
  • Provide customer service and timely updates through phone and email correspondence
  • Negotiate carrier pay on all shipments
  • Collect and scan in all required paperwork

Requirements:
  • A winning attitude and determination to succeed
  • Willingness to go above and beyond for our customers
  • Self-driven with a desire to succeed
  • Ability to think creatively to find solutions
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and other Modern Office Technology
  • Prior customer service experience is a plus

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain, transportation and logistics or similar field is a plus
