Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Sales Account Manager to join our on-site team in Houston, TX. This is a full-time role that involves developing and maintaining relationships with clients, managing accounts, generating leads, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to address their logistics needs and deliver high-quality transportation solutions. A commitment to providing excellent customer service and the ability to communicate effectively are essential for success in this role.
Sales Development
  • Prospect and secure new drayage customers (importers, exporters, freight forwarders, NVOCCs, 3PLs)
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, and networking
  • Develop long-term customer relationships and act as a trusted logistics partner
  • Identify high-volume container opportunities and strategic lanes

Account Management
  • Manage and grow existing accounts to increase container volume and revenue
  • Provide pricing, lane analysis, and service solutions tailored to customer needs
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure service excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct regular customer check-ins and business reviews

Pricing & Strategy
  • Prepare and present drayage and intermodal rate quotes
  • Understand market trends, port/rail conditions, and capacity
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts to maximize margin and volume
  • Work closely with leadership on growth strategy and target accounts

CRM & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, quotes, and opportunities in CRM
  • Track KPIs including revenue, margin, and container volume
