Job description

The Gove Group is seeking an experienced, collaborative leader to oversee and grow one of New England’s premier new construction sales organizations. The Director of New Construction Sales will lead our new construction sales team, strengthen builder partnerships, improve systems and operations, and help drive the continued growth of the division.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys developing people, building strong client relationships, creating effective systems, and raising the standard for performance and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and directly manage our New Construction sales team
  • Conduct regular agent check-ins, goal setting, performance reviews, and coaching
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop new sales agents
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor for builder clients
  • Provide builders with market feedback, pricing recommendations, sales reporting, inventory updates, and customer insights
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen existing builder relationships and grow the New Construction Division
  • Oversee new construction listings, offers, contracts, transactions, and community launches
  • Maintain high standards for accuracy, consistency, compliance, and customer service
  • Develop and improve systems, processes, training resources, and reporting
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, resale leadership, and ownership
  • Track sales performance, recruiting, inventory, KPIs, and other division metrics
  • Participate as an active member of the company’s leadership team and report directly to ownership

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership or management experience within residential real estate
  • Experience managing, coaching, or developing real estate sales professionals
  • New construction and/or builder sales experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
  • Comfortable creating systems and leading teams through growth and change
  • Active New Hampshire real estate license required
  • Maine and/or Massachusetts real estate license a plus

The Opportunity

This role is about more than managing transactions—it is an opportunity to lead and continue building a best-in-class new construction sales organization. Success will be measured by sales performance, agent development, builder satisfaction, operational excellence, and the systems and culture created to support continued growth. This is a full-time in person position with need for flexibility to include weekends on some occasions.
