How much do full time concurrent h1b jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 12, 2026, the average hourly pay for full time concurrent h1b in the United States is $43.82, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $33.65 and $50.48 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an H-1B Visa Holder in a full-time concurrent employment role, and why are they important?

To excel as an H-1B professional in a concurrent full-time role, you need specialized knowledge in your field, a relevant bachelor’s or higher degree, and compliance with U.S. immigration regulations. Familiarity with employer-specific systems, project management tools, and maintaining accurate work authorization documentation is essential. Strong time management, adaptability, and communication skills help balance responsibilities between concurrent employers. These skills ensure legal compliance, productivity, and effective collaboration across multiple workplace environments.

What are the unique challenges of managing multiple concurrent H1B roles in a full-time capacity?

Holding concurrent full-time H1B positions can be complex, as each employer must file a separate, approved concurrent H1B petition, and you must balance responsibilities across both roles without violating immigration or employment regulations. Time management and clear communication with both employers about your availability and workload are critical. Additionally, you must ensure that both roles remain compliant with Department of Labor and USCIS requirements, including maintaining proper documentation and adhering to the terms of each H1B petition.

Who should pay 100,000 for H-1B?

For a Full Time Concurrent H1B position, the employer is responsible for paying the H-1B filing fees, including the base wage, which must meet or exceed the prevailing wage for the role. The employee typically does not pay this fee, but in some cases, the employee may cover certain costs if permitted by law or agreement, though this is less common. The total cost can reach around $100,000 depending on legal fees, premium processing, and other associated expenses.

What is a Full Time Concurrent H1B?

A Full Time Concurrent H1B refers to a situation where a foreign worker in the United States holds two or more H1B visa positions at the same time, with each employer filing a separate H1B petition. Unlike a standard part-time concurrent H1B, a full-time concurrent H1B means the employee is authorized to work full-time for more than one employer, provided each employer files and gets approval for their own full-time H1B petition. All employers must comply with H1B regulations, including prevailing wage requirements and labor condition applications. This arrangement allows professionals to maximize work opportunities while maintaining legal status.

Do I need to inform my employer on a concurrent H-1B?

For a full-time concurrent H-1B, you are generally required to inform your employer about your other H-1B employment, as each employer must file a separate petition and maintain compliance with USCIS regulations. It is important to ensure that both employers are aware of your concurrent status and that your employment conditions meet visa requirements. Failure to notify or obtain proper approval can affect your visa status and work authorization.

What is the difference between Full Time Concurrent H1B vs Full Time H1B?

AspectFull Time Concurrent H1BFull Time H1B
Work EnvironmentMultiple employers or locations simultaneouslySingle employer, full-time position
Employer UsageAllows employment with more than one employerEmployment with one employer only
Credentials & CertificationsTypically requires similar qualifications as full-time H1BRequires relevant professional credentials
Search & Comparison IntentCommonly compared for employment flexibilityStandard full-time employment visa

Full Time Concurrent H1B allows foreign workers to be employed by multiple employers simultaneously, whereas Full Time H1B is for employment with a single employer. The main difference lies in the employment structure and work environment, with concurrent H1B offering greater flexibility for professionals working across multiple organizations.

Is H-1B cap exempt for concurrent employment?

Full Time Concurrent H1B employment is generally cap-exempt if the employee is working for a cap-exempt employer, such as an institution of higher education or a nonprofit organization. When working concurrently for a cap-exempt employer and a cap-subject employer, only the cap-subject employer's H-1B petition is subject to the cap; the concurrent employment itself is not capped. However, the employee must meet specific eligibility criteria and ensure proper filings for each employer.

Can I have two full-time jobs on H-1B?

H-1B visa holders can generally work only for the employer that sponsored their visa and in the specific role approved by USCIS. Holding two full-time jobs on H-1B is not permitted unless both employers file separate H-1B petitions and USCIS approves each employment, which is uncommon and requires compliance with visa regulations. Employers must also adhere to work hours and job duties specified in the approved petitions.
