They use specialized software to layer, blend, and adjust different components like live-action footage, computer-generated imagery (CGI), and visual effects. Job description

Company Description

Within Publicis Groupe's Intelligent Creativity business, we specialize in bringing creative ideas to life, and to consumers. By combining 100 years of craft excellence with 6,000 experts across 52 locations of the world's biggest studio network, we leverage the industry's richest data, through the power of agentic AI, to radically redefine content production with Intelligent Content. We intuitively deliver this through Marcel Make, the world's first Intelligent Content agent. The result? Predictively performing content that unlocks business growth in unprecedented ways. No more guesswork. No more waste. Just content that works, working a lot harder.

Job Description

Publicis Production is building a studio where artists define what AI-enabled creativity looks like - producing image, video, animation, and motion work for the world's biggest brands at a level of craft that moves well beyond generic AI output.

The AI Artist should bring hands-on experience in motion content creation workflows using cutting edge tools such as Flux, Runway, Veo, Firefly, ComfyUI, and other emerging platforms. This role will help design, test, and produce dynamic AI-driven video, visual effects, and motion graphics- bringing craft judgment, production discipline, and creative experimentation to fast-evolving AI workflows.

You do not need to be deeply technical, but you should be comfortable learning new tools quickly, applying them to real production needs, and contributing a strong visual point of view grounded in design, animation, and narrative storytelling.

We hire artists first. Candidates are evaluated primarily on their portfolio or reel and their perspective on visual storytelling. Generative AI is the medium - craft, taste, and point of view are the job.

 Responsibilities

Craft & Production

  • Own hands-on production tasks across concept development, storyboarding, animatic creation, AI-assisted motion, and visual exploration.
  • Curate and prepare training datasets for model testing and fine-tuning, with guidance on more complex character, style, or animation needs.
  • Partner with designers, animators, editors, producers, and developers to integrate AI workflows into broader content pipelines and client deliverables.
  • Evaluate emerging generative AI tools in the video, motion, and image space, with a clear point of view on where they can improve quality, speed, or creative range.
  • Prototype and refine AI-assisted visual pipelines that streamline production, support repeatable quality, and expand creative possibilities.

Workflow & Learning

  • Develop, maintain, and improve clean, scalable node-based generation workflows, including ComfyUI, aligned to studio conventions, production needs, and repeatable output quality.
  • Contribute to dataset curation, model testing, and fine-tuning efforts with increasing independence and sound judgment on when to escalate technical or creative complexity.
  • Document repeatable techniques, organize presets and references, and help strengthen the studio's shared AI playbook for broader team adoption.
  • Stay current on emerging models, tools, and production approaches; assess what is useful, test practical applications, and bring relevant recommendations back to the team.

Collaboration & Studio Culture

  • Partner effectively with designers, animators, editors, producers, developers, and cross functional collaborators; contribute ideas, respond well to direction, and help move work forward with clarity and momentum.
  • Operate within the studio's responsible AI, IP-aware, and brand-safety standards, proactively escalating questions or risks to protect the work, the client, and the team.

Craft Foundations & Tool Fluency

  • Bring solid foundational craft across animation and motion design, including timing, spacing, composition, compositing, photo editing/manipulation, and a clear developing point of view on visual storytelling.
  • Work confidently in core production tools, including After Effects and Photoshop; experience with Nuke, Cinema 4D, Blender, or DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
  • Demonstrate practical fluency with current image and video generation platforms and node-based workflows such as ComfyUI. Specific tools matter less than the quality of output, production judgment, pace of learning, and ability to adapt as the toolset evolves.

LOCATION & COMMITMENTS

  • Full-time role, currently hybrid status
  • In-person/in-office minimum of 4 days per week
  • Travel may be required to deliver on client and production needs
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience, or equivalent demonstrated work, in motion design, animation, VFX, generative visual production, or a related visual discipline.
  • A strong portfolio or reel demonstrating craft, aesthetic judgment, visual storytelling, and creative experimentation, including work made with generative tools.
  • Experience with compositing, photo editing/manipulation, motion workflows, and iterative production environments.
  • Organized, communicative, and team-oriented; able to manage feedback, iterate quickly, and contribute reliably to production timelines.
  • A curiosity-driven mindset, strong learning agility, and a genuine interest in shaping the future of creative production.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
