POSITION OVERVIEW
The Collier County Clerk's Office Payroll department is growing to better serve our customers. Responsible for processing payroll for the Clerk's Office, Collier County government, and the Collier County Supervisor of Elections, our department is seeking candidates with strong customer service, high attention to detail, and analytical skills to join our high-performing, forward-thinking payroll team.
There are multiple positions available that perform professional and technical accounting functions in support of the payroll operations. Example of duties include:
  • Auditing and processing accounting or human resource documents
  • Entering, updating, and retrieving data in the automated financial systems
  • Testing financial system upgrades or updates
  • Preparing accounting and third-party documents
  • Maintaining accounting, fiscal and payroll records

Payroll Manager (Starting Salary: $87,076)
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or a related field and four five years of payroll experience; two years of supervisory or lead experience required. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job may be substituted for the education or experience requirement.
Payroll Technician (Starting Salary: $52,373)
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or a related field and three years of payroll experience. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job may be substituted for the education or experience requirement. Certified Payroll Professional preferred.

Payroll Specialist (Starting Salary: $46,137)
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or a related field and two years of payroll experience. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job may be substituted for the education or experience requirement.
