Job description

Coil Builder, 2nd Shift

Location: York, PA
Shift: 2nd Shift | Full-Time

Pay: $22.96 - $26.44 + ($1.50 Shift Premium)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • • Identifies proper parts to complete assemblies by reading specification sheet.
  • • Assembles parts to specification.
  • • Builds frame; installs fins, tubes, hardware, and other purchased parts into coil body per specification
  • • Correctly labels coils with build day and Mfg #.
  • • Moves and repositions coils to the expansion area using cranes.
  • • Completes appropriate paperwork to include quality sticker and daily hours.
  • • Inspect coils for split collars, dented hairpins and damaged fins.
  • • Reworks or disassembles coils that have been damaged or built incorrectly.
  • • Utilizes basic hand tools such as pliers, wrenches and hand drills.
  • • Trains new or existing employees, if necessary.
  • • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
  • • Wears all required PPE.
  • • Performs other routine duties.
  • • Responsible for reporting work related injuries and near misses to supervision.
  • • Responsible for wearing all required PPE and following applicable safety/environmental rules.
  • • Responsible for correcting or reporting unsafe conditions observed within the plant.

MATH ABILITY

  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.


REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education preferred

  • Read and write English

  • Knowledge of company safety policies

  • Able to read Tape measure

  • Prior Machine Operating experience REQUIRED
