What you'll do:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join our network infrastructure team. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and support of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud networking solutions-primarily in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise networking, cloud architecture, and security. Experience using Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco networking equipment is preferred.
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud network infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Configure and manage Azure Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and Application Gateways.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance using native Azure tools and third-party monitoring platforms.
  • Assist in defining and implementing cloud network architecture best practices, including automation, governance, and disaster recovery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network-related issues across hybrid environments.
  • Document network topologies, policies, and configurations as part of IT compliance and change management.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other network engineers and support teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Azure Cloud engineers, Active Directory Engineers, Server Administration, and Information Security teams to ensure smooth IT operations.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with security and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, PCI, etc.).
  • Participate in IT change management processes.
  • Follow ITIL best practices in service management (incident, problem, and change management).

What do you need?
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in cloud networking (preferably Azure).
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure networking services, including:
    • VNet peering, routing, DNS, NSGs, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, etc.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting network issues using tools like Wireshark and Azure Network Watcher.
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls (especially virtual) and Cisco networking is preferred.

Technology Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Azure networking (including hybrid connectivity solutions)
  • Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks and experience in IT service management environments.
