Job description

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sr Cloud Network Engineer to provide strategic and technical leadership in the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-wide IT solutions. This role spans hybrid infrastructure, multi-cloud platforms, with some containerized applications. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of network principles and how they are applied within Microsoft Azure and other public cloud offerings.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with business acumen, ensuring that technology strategies align with organizational goals while delivering scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
  • Engineer and support end-to-end enterprise solutions that integrate on-prem with cloud platforms (Azure, OCI).
  • Design and deploy Azure network architectures, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, Application Gateways, Azure Firewalls, and ExpressRoute/VPN connections.
  • Develop secure hybrid connectivity strategies integrating on-premise and multi-cloud environments.
  • Lead the design and implementation of network segmentation, Zero Trust, and secure connectivity frameworks.
  • Design enterprise data and reporting frameworks leveraging cloud-native analytics and 3rd party platforms like Dynatrace.
  • Define hybrid and multi-cloud strategies ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.

Technical Leadership
  • Serve as an enterprise-wide authority on technology standards, patterns, and best practices.
  • Guide cloud adoption, modernization, and migration initiatives across business units.
  • Provide governance for solution design, ensuring compliance, security, and performance objectives are met.
  • Mentor engineers and junior architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Implementation & Optimization
  • Lead proof-of-concepts (POCs), solution prototyping, and production deployments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps).
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with business leaders to translate requirements into actionable technology roadmaps.
  • Produce architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and executive presentations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on the value and impact of proposed solutions.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, with 3+ years focused on Azure cloud networking.
  • Expert knowledge of Azure Networking Services: VNet Peering, Private Link, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Application Gateway, and DNS.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN, and VPN technologies.
  • Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep) and Azure DevOps
  • Proficiency in network security principles, segmentation, and identity-driven access.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud and multi-region architectures.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently on complex projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience architecting workloads in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Understanding of hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, and enterprise integration strategies.
  • Must be locally locate and able to commute into office 3 days a week.

Preferred Skills
  • Professional certifications.
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Oracle Cloud Architect
  • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-700, AZ-305, AZ-104).
  • Experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, or Check Point cloud firewalls.
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation.
  • Exposure to AWS or GCP networking concepts is a plus.
  • Familiarity with automation and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Knowledge of identity management, security frameworks, and compliance standards.
