Job description

Direct Counsel has partnered with a rapidly growing law firm in Washington that specializes in complex litigation, including consumer and employment class and representative actions, who is seeking qualified attorneys to join their expanding team in their Seattle office.

The firm focuses on the prosecution of wage & hour, unfair business practice, discrimination, and false advertising matters in both state and federal Courts across California and has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of tens of thousands of employees and consumers.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with an established firm in state and federal plaintiffs-side class action litigation, against regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies in a wide variety of industries.

Hiring Criteria

All qualified and interested candidates are encouraged to apply.

  • Candidates must be either
    • (a) licensed to practice law in California or Washington or
    • (b) already licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction and pending admission to the California Bar or Washington Bar.
  • The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in Washington and have 8+ years of experience in civil litigation, including experience with discovery in the civil litigation context, oral advocacy and appearing in Court, motion practice and taking/defending depositions.
  • Prior experience with class actions, complex litigation, and wage and hour litigation is a plus.
  • Candidates must be able to travel on occasion.
  • A positive attitude and interest in joining a highly successful firm and collegial group of 50+ attorneys dedicated to helping those who have experienced injustice in the workplace across Washington.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $200,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year (commensurate with experience, DOE, DOQ)
