Job description

Senior Cloud Engineer

Description -

This role is responsible for leading the technical design, development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of modern software applications and services for the company. It is focused on delivering secure, scalable, and high-quality engineering solutions by applying contemporary software development practices, architecture standards, cybersecurity review processes, automation, and agentic AI capabilities. The role leverages tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve developer productivity through AI-assisted coding, code analysis, refactoring, test generation, documentation support, and workflow optimization. It also includes analyzing business and technical requirements, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and building strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders; while providing guidance, coaching, and technical direction to team members so they can execute their responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities
Leads the building of software development projects and platforms while aligning them with business, security, and technology strategies.
Drives Agentic AI transformation across the software development lifecycle by identifying opportunities to apply AI-assisted engineering, intelligent automation, and agent-based workflows to improve productivity, quality, and delivery speed.
Champions the adoption of GitHub Copilot and related AI development capabilities to support code generation, refactoring, test creation, documentation, backlog reduction, and modernization of legacy solutions.
Builds standards, designs, and automates the deployment of software using secure, scalable, and repeatable engineering practices.
Designs and develops solutions that protect and manage software products, platforms, and enterprise data.
Contributes to technology strategy and engineering roadmaps around software engineering, Agentic AI enablement, developer productivity, and secure AI adoption; executes strategic proof of concepts to validate emerging capabilities.
Assists supervisors with project development, including documentation of features, recording of progress, creation of testing plans, and evaluation of AI-enabled delivery improvements.
Consults with the business to determine logical designs for new business solutions in alignment with existing data architecture, integration patterns, and AI transformation goals.
Supervises the work of external engineering vendors, analyzes testing performed by vendors, and provides technical feedback, AI adoption guidance, and engineering expertise.
Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to enhance the effectiveness of engineering, implementation, service strategies, and Agentic AI transformation initiatives.

Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in software designing & development, software architecture, programming languages, or a related field.

The pay range for this role is$130,700to$205,200USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
