A healthcare facility in Nacogdoches, TX, is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy to provide leadership for their inpatient acute care pharmacy services. This contract opportunity requires a Texas state license and pharmacy-in-charge (PIC) designation. The position offers a Monday through Friday day shift schedule, with no weekend or on-call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all administrative functions of the pharmacy department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead staffing efforts, including coordination and supervision of pharmacy personnel.
- Maintain high-quality patient care through effective management and implementation of pharmacy practices.
- Coordinate pharmacy inservices and educational programs for staff development.
- Utilize Cerner/Siemens order entry systems and Omnicell automation in daily operations.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Texas pharmacist license and PIC certification.
- Proven leadership and management experience in an acute care inpatient pharmacy setting.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes.
