Job description

Overview

Assists the Applications Coordinator or Manager in the coordination of activities and resources for all hospital financial or clinical applications.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all hospital financial or clinical applications.
  • Assists in the coordination of design, development, build, testing, implementation, training, upgrades, support, and overall system management of all hospital financial or clinical applications.
  • Acts as a Project Manager for the implementation of new Systems.
  • Maintain an issues work list and conduct regular and thorough follow-up with interested parties.
  • Provide primary support and maintenance for core financial or clinical systems as determined by the Applications Coordinator or Manager.
  • Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury-accident to the Director.
  • Emergency Services Addendum - Senior IT Analyst

     

  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all Emergency Services applications.
  • Working as the ED/IT departmental liaison responsible for collaboration with IT for designing, building, implementing, upgrading and supporting overall system management of all EDIS.
  • Acts as the departmental project manager for the implementation of new EDIS systems in collaboration with ED Management and IT.
  • Assists Emergency Services Director in all aspects of project management for special projects as assigned. Providing detailed project plans and regular status reports on progress. 
  • Services as the liaison on the functionality and reporting of Visibility as an active member of the Patient Flow Team.
  • Works closely with the EDMD provider group to identify and manage the process of providing resolution of EDIS issues, providing direct support as needed.
  • Researches new technologies and IT solutions that can help address gaps in service lines and enhance Emergency Services operations.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with department users/staff and other hospital departments. Acts as primary point-of-contact to staff during projects and as the liaison with other interfaced departments such as Radiology and Lab Services.
  • Works closely with Emergency Services Clinical Specialist and ED System Analyst to coordinate cross functional support of the EDIS.
  • Works closely with ED Operations Analyst to support Lucidoc functions for the organization.
  • Develops and provides guidance regarding reports coming out of the EDIS for both internal ED needs and other departments as assigned by ED management.
  • Works closely with ED System Analyst to manage the development of documentation templates with review by ED Clinical Specialist.
  • Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

     

  • S. Degree in Nursing, Business, Systems, or related field or Five (5) years healthcare financial or clinical experience
  • Two (2) years healthcare financial, clinical systems, or training experience (with B.S. Degree)
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  •  

    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

     

  • Five (5) plus years healthcare financial or clinical systems experience (with B.S. Degree)
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Knowledge of McKesson applications
  • Work Hours:8AM - 4:30PMEmployment Type: FULL_TIME
