Travel RN - Med-Surg Adult / Telemetry / Observation
Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Job Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks)
Tentative Start Date: August 4, 2026
Shift: 12-Hour Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: Up to $91/hour (All-Inclusive)
Job Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Med-Surg Adult, Telemetry, and Observation at a leading acute care hospital in the beautiful Colorado mountains. The facility is experiencing increased patient volume due to orthopedic surgeries, hybrid cath lab procedures, and seasonal admissions.
Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional nursing care to adult Med-Surg and Observation patients.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Float to Intermediate Care/CCU as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using hospital EMR systems.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Colorado RN License (or eligibility to practice in Colorado).
  • Minimum 2 years of Acute Care, Med-Surg, Telemetry, or related RN experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of Med-Surg RN experience preferred.
  • Current BLS (AHA) Certification.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) Certification.
  • Flu Vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - April 1).

Schedule
  • 12-hour Night Shifts
  • Weekend rotation required
  • Participation in on-call rotation (1 call shift every two weeks if needed)

Traveler housing may be available within walking distance of the hospital (subject to availability).

Important Requirements
  • Candidate's permanent residence must be 75+ miles from the facility.
  • Colorado CAPS background clearance required before onboarding.
