Their duties typically include preparing clay, operating kilns, glazing and firing ceramics, maintaining studio equipment, organizing materials, and assisting with the creation of ceramic pieces. They may also help with packing, shipping, and cleaning the workspace. These assistants work full-time hours and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of a ceramics studio.

Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a creative environment are standout soft skills. These skills and qualities are important to ensure smooth studio operations, high-quality work, and a safe, productive workspace.
