Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist provides high quality, patient-centered care by assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology patient procedures in the catheterization labs. As an integral part of the Cath Lab team, the Cath Lab Technologist assists physicians with a variety of procedures, such as angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements. The Cath Lab Technologist operates specialized equipment during procedures, provides direct care for patients throughout the procedural process, and maintains a safe, sterile environment.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Sonography, Respiratory Therapy, LPN, Surgical Tech or Paramedic program
  • Must have one of the following credentials: (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (CCT) Certified Cardiographic Technician, (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), State Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist, LPN, Certified Surgical Technologist, or State Paramedic Certification
  • RCIS or ARRT - Must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
