Job description

We Are Hiring
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Facility Name: Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent
Schedule: Full-Time, 150 shifts/year
Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance offered

This job location is not currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.
What You Will Do
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to join a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
  • Join an established team of 6 physicians and 5 APPs
  • Call structure: About 50-55 nights/year
  • Practice setting: Inpatient (8-bed CVICU and 14-bed PICU)
  • Access to Athena/Sunrise EMR, an integrated cardiology network, and 24/7 dedicated subspecialty support
  • Employed position within a nonprofit health system
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
  • Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
  • Deliver expert diagnostic and therapeutic critical care to pediatric patients within the PICU and CVICU, closely coordinating with cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, and case management to ensure seamless inpatient care and discharge planning.
  • Drive program development, clinical excellence, and quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with the expanding pediatric cardiac service line partnership with Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care, Pediatric Cardiology, or equivalent experience is required
About the Facility
  • 197-bed pediatric facility (including a combined 22-bed PICU/CVICU, 40 private inpatient beds, 8 short-stay beds, 17 Pediatric ED beds, and a 109-bed Level IV NICU)
  • Trauma designation (Pediatric Trauma services available onsite)
  • Serving a population of approximately 2 million in the greater Indianapolis metropolitan area
  • Integrated referral network encompassing more than 100 highly experienced pediatric specialists across 40 different programs
  • Part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system

What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
