Full Time Cabin Safety Inspector Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Summary:

The Advanced Qualification Program Manager (AQPM) is responsible for the adequacy of the advanced qualification flight program including indoctrination, qualification, and continuing qualification curricula, and the flight operations program performing inspections, surveillance, and certification duties. The AQPM has program responsibility to assure that Alaska Airlines meets Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) with respect to flight operations programs.

Air Carrier (Flight Oversight) Aviation Safety Inspector Qualification Requirements. In addition to meeting the basic and medical requirements, applicants must meet the following additional qualification requirements:

a. At least one year of pilot experience in multi-engine aircraft of more than 12,500 pounds maximum certificated takeoff weight.

b. Three years of experience working in an organization with an air carrier, commercial operator, or air agency certificate, an organization whose work led to the certification of individual airmen, or an organization that operated aircraft. At least one year of this experience must be with an organization that operated multi-engine aircraft of more than 12,500 pounds maximum takeoff weight.

c. Minimum 1,500 total flight hours.

d. Must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.

e. Not more than two flying accidents during the last five years in which the applicant's pilot error was involved.

Medical Requirements: Applicants must be physically able to perform the duties of the A SI position in a safe and efficient manner, with or without a reasonable accommodation. The minimum medical requirements include the following:

a. Have good distance vision in each eye and be able to read, without strain, printed materials the
size of typewritten characters (glasses and contact lenses permitted);

b. Have the ability to hear the conversational voice (hearing aid permitted); and

c. Not have any physical conditions that would cause them to be a hazard to themselves or others or that would interfere with their ability to operate/occupy a flight deck observers seat (jumpseat) or a cabin passenger seat in a variety of aircraft.

Air Carrier (Flight Oversight) Aviation Safety Inspector Additional Specialized Experience Requirement. One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level/pay band in the normal line of progression is required for the FG-14, and above grade levels (or equivalent pay band) as shown in the following examples for each grade level/pay band:

In addition to meeting the minimum qualification requirements, applicants must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (FG/GS-13 or pay band I) in the normal line of progression

Specialized Experience is defined as: experience in analyzing investigative data and developing recommendations for identified hazards; experience in assisting in developing policies, standards, programs and procedures for aviation; and experience in assisting in the development of aviation safety procedures for flight standards.Work involves monitoring and issuing certificates to a large complex aviation organization or several smaller organizations that, in total, are comparable in complexity to one large aviation organization. Work at this grade level/pay band is generally reviewed from an overall standpoint for accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness in meeting requirements..
