About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to position our hotel as a premier destination for group, airline, and transient business in the Bangor market. This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is passionate about driving revenue growth while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
What you'll do:
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating and growing business across multiple segments while executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
  • Drive revenue through group, leisure, business transient, and extended stay segments
  • Proactively identify, solicit, and secure new business opportunities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts through outreach, site visits, and relationship building
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and execute sales and marketing plans
  • Meet and exceed quarterly sales targets and ADR goals
  • Conduct property tours and site inspections for prospective clients
  • Negotiate contracts and prepare proposals, agreements, and event documentation
  • Execute online marketing initiatives and explore new campaign opportunities
  • Participate in industry events and local organizations to promote the hotel
  • Monitor sales performance, lead sources, and incentive tracking metrics
  • Maintain strong cross-departmental collaboration to ensure seamless guest experience

What you bring:
We're looking for a motivated sales professional with a strong hospitality background and a proven track record:
  • 2-3 years of hotel sales experience (group, business transient, or related segments)
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Demonstrated success in sales, negotiation, and presentations
  • Strong understanding of revenue management and forecasting
  • Ability to assess client needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Experience with sales and catering systems (e.g., Delphi, iSalesPro) and PMS tools
