Job description

Position Summary

Hive Group, a HUBZone-certified SDVOSB and multiple award-winning organization, delivers innovative solutions for complex, mission-critical federal programs. We are seeking multiple highly skilled Mid Level Systems Administrator to deliver critical on-site functional and technical infrastructure support across all Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Technical Acquisition and Contracting Support (TACS) contracting directorates and program offices. In this role, located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. you will bridge the gap between complex technology and procurement operations, ensuring the seamless execution of MDA’s E-Business automated systems. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you will maintain the security, efficiency, and compliance of vital data systems while translating advanced technical architecture into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical users. 

This position offers a premier opportunity to directly impact MDA’s mission readiness by optimizing the agency's contract writing and transaction environment. You will lead daily administrator operations using specialized tools—including the 4th Estate Electronic Contract Writing Module (ECWM), ORBIT, and PIEE modules—while running Interactive SQL scripts, managing security models, and conducting workforce-wide training. If you are a cleared, CompTIA Security+ and ITIL-certified professional with a deep understanding of DoD procurement systems and a passion for operational excellence, we invite you to apply.  This position requires an ACTIVE Secret Clearance.

Work Location: This position is performed on-site at Redstone Arsenal, AL. Regular on-site attendance is required to support customer and contract requirements. Telework may be available based on contract requirements and customer approval." 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site functional and technical support as a system administrator, for all of MDA’s contracting directorates and program offices, communicating a variety of Government automated enterprise business systems to non-technical users.
  • Provide ongoing support of the business and technology environment by sustaining efforts to increase efficiency and effectiveness of business and transactional operations, particularly through promoting and maintaining guidelines affecting Government regulation/compliance and the security of data reporting/retention.
  • Provide daily system administrator support utilizing the latest deployed version, of DoDs contract writing system (4th Estate Electronic Contract Writing Module (ECWM)), Operations Resources and Business Integration Technologies Acquisition (ORBIT), security model tasks, vendor and organizational maintenance, running Interactive Structured Query Language (SQL) scripts, understanding of the Integrity Tool, Procurement Data Standard Validations and Federal Procurement Data System FPDS) Contract Action Report (CAR) creation and authentication processes. 
  • Manage user accounts, functioning as a procurement business system administrator performing administration tasks, answering end-user questions, troubleshooting actions, resolving unexpected issues and responding to data calls, as directed, for various Department of Defense (DoD) E-Business automated business systems to include: contract writing, execution and post award management system, all Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) modules and capabilities, and the General Services Administration (GSA) System for Award Management (SAM.gov) Federal award system.
  • Perform functional and technical training to MDA's workforce on the various Federal, DoD and MDA procurement business systems, process and best practices, as well as other agency-wide Government automated business systems and develop / provide updated standard operating procedures and desk guide documentation to all MDA users.
  • Develop and update internal How to Guides, checklists, documents and other measures to support the E-Business Service Desk internal operations and self- help material to the workforce.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management Systems or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of systems administration and customer service/help desk experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience/proficiency in DoD Contract Writing System(s), WAWF/WAWF E Business/PIEE.
  • Certified Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation or Higher.
  • ACTIVE Secret Clearance Required

Preferred Qualifications

  • DAWIA Certification (or equivalent) in Contracting or Program Management.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated compensation range for this position is between $105,301 - $116,385 annually. Actual salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s specialized skills, certifications, and years of experience.
