POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for delivering scalable analytics, reporting solutions, and business intelligence capabilities that drive data-informed decision making. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing sales reporting, data models, automation solutions, and analytical frameworks across multiple platforms, including SQL Server, Oracle, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable insights. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert for reporting architecture, data governance, automation initiatives, and commercial analytics while driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, and reporting capabilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Develop and manage scalable data models, pipelines, and reporting frameworks supporting Sales Operations, commercial analytics, and executive reporting
  • Lead reporting initiatives related to Oracle ERP and associated business systems, including implementations, upgrades, data migrations, and building and maintaining SQL-based reporting to support Sales Operations
  • Design, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts across multiple data environments and sources
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions using Power BI, Oracle reporting tools, Microsoft Excel, and other business intelligence platforms
  • Deliver high-impact reporting and actionable insights on sales performance, forecasting, and key business metrics to support strategic decision-making
  • Collect, cleanse, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources to support business intelligence initiatives
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and performance across all reporting and analytics environments
  • Partner with IT and cross-functional stakeholders to enhance data accessibility, reporting capabilities, and decision-support tools
  • Establish and champion best practices for reporting development, documentation, testing, deployment, and data governance
  • Lead and support strategic initiatives focused on process improvement, operational excellence, and reporting modernization
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities that streamline reporting and data management activities
  • Perform root-cause analysis and resolve data, reporting, visualization, and system integration issues
  • Develop and maintain advanced VBA solutions, macros, and automated workflows to improve efficiency
  • Mentor analysts and business users on reporting tools, data interpretation, and analytics best practices

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or related field, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of advanced Power BI development experience, including complex data modeling and DAX
  • Expert-level SQL skills with demonstrated experience developing complex queries, views, stored procedures, and data transformation logic
  • Experience working with Oracle ERP or other Oracle reporting environments
  • Advanced experience designing and maintaining reporting and dashboard solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, Power Query, and VBA/macros development
  • Strong experience integrating and analyzing data from multiple systems and sources
  • Proven ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel 10%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of Power BI development experience
  • 3+ years of Oracle ERP or other Oracle reporting experience
  • 3+ years sales operations experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industry
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, and cloud-based analytics platforms

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as needed
  • Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull as needed
