Business Development Manager
 
Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and support strategic growth initiatives. This hybrid role works closely with senior leadership to drive business development, manage environmental permitting and regulatory processes, oversee strategic projects, and contribute to operational success while ensuring excellent customer service and long-term business growth.
 
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities while building long-term relationships with clients and industry partners
  • Prepare quotations, pricing proposals, and commercial submissions that support business growth and customer needs
  • Research upcoming projects, monitor tender opportunities, and proactively engage contractors, project owners, and key stakeholders
  • Coordinate environmental permitting activities, regulatory submissions, and consultant engagement to support operational requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies, consultants, municipalities, and industry partners
  • Conduct market research, identify emerging opportunities, and contribute to strategic planning and future business initiatives
  • Represent the organization at client meetings, networking events, and industry functions while promoting the company's services and capabilities
Your strengths include:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, project management, environmental services, operations, or a related field
  • Experience within construction, environmental services, waste management, civil construction, hydrovac, utilities, or related industries is considered an asset
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination abilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
