Job description

We are currently hiring a full-time, Brewery RepresentativeinSan Diego, CA.The ideal candidatemustlive in the Greater San Diego Area*.ย 
The Brewery Representative works autonomously to focus on developing new accounts and maintaining current accounts within the industry. A high emphasis is placed on increasing the availability and visibility of products in new and existing accounts by using consultative sales tactics.
ย *Please note thatwhile this position is listed as "working remotely", our sales positions are field based and require you to live within the territory listed to visit accounts, unless explicitly stated otherwise.ย

What You'll Brew:ย 
  • Sell our entire Boston Beer Company (BBC) product portfolioย 
  • 100% focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores/convenient stores)ย 
  • Identifying major accounts that are not currently selling BBC products, and developing a plan to establish business with such accountsย 
  • Improving conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase visibility of the brandย 
  • Partnering with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accountsย 
  • Conducting waitstaff / bartender educations, beer tastings and evening promotionsย 
  • Working conditions vary greatly day to day due to customer facing nature of roleย 
  • May be the periodic requirement to work weekends and holidays to support the needs of the businessย 
  • Occasional travel for meetings and trainingsย 
  • Regular travel in the market to service retailers and wholesalersย

Minimum Qualifications:ย ย 
  • 1+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industryย 
  • An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personalityย 
  • Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuouslyย 
  • Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequentlyย 
  • Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequentlyย

At Boston Beer Company, we are committed to pay transparency. For this San Diego territory and role, the expected compensation range for this position is $70,500-$72,000 annually, which includes a location-based adjustment. Placement within the range is determined by factors such as relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
