Payrate: $3.60/hour Plus Tips
Hours: 6:00am-11:00am

The Holiday Inn Oceanside is hiring now for a full-time breakfast server. We are seeking awesome associates who want to grow their career in hospitality. Cross training is available in other positions.
What You Will Bring To This Role:
The server is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. He/she is also responsible for receiving and delivering guests orders and collecting payment.

Some of Your Responsibilities Would Be:
  • Efficiently and accurately take and deliver orders while interacting with guests
  • Learn menu items and be able to describe them appropriately to guests, check-in with guests to ensure that they have everything they need, and clean dirty dishes from the table.
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits; familiarity with domestic and import beers, different types of wine, and brand name spirits.
  • Maintain assigned areas by keeping them clean and free of debris, and track guests while they move around the pool area.
  • Work with other servers and be a team player.
  • Perform cashiering functions by closing checks and preparing end of shift paperwork.
  • Ensure that tables and side stands are kept stocked, tidy and clean.
  • Demonstrate superior guest service skills by presenting a friendly, relaxed, and professional demeanor; ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail while meeting business demands.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 18 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive, upbeat fashion; possessing interpersonal skills with focused attention to guests needs.
  • Ability to check transactions accurately and efficiently; basic math skills a must.
  • Previous cash-handling experience, preferred
  • Ability to withstand prolonged standing
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
  • Flexible availability; able to work weekends and holidays
