Job description


The V. P. Black College of Biblical Studies is seeking an inspiring, energetic, and qualified faculty member to help strengthen the biblical core curriculum offerings at Faulkner University. Successful candidates will be primarily responsible for teaching courses for non-Bible majors with possible additional teaching assignments based on background and knowledge. Faculty members will also be expected to take on scholarship and service responsibilities to build up programs in the College of Biblical Studies and the University as a whole. The Bible department is seeking candidates who have a passion for student engagement and advancing the mission of Faulkner University. Faulkner is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time, 9-month position with the possibility of summer teachings. Faculty rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with academic qualifications, teaching experience, and research.
Qualifications:
  • Earned doctorate in the field of Biblical Studies preferred
  • Highly qualified applicants who are ABD and hold a master's degree in Biblical Studies will be considered
  • Active member of the church of Christ required
  • Alignment with Faulkner's statement "Here We Stand"
