About the Role

Eileen’s Colossal Cookies is looking for a self-driven, reliable, and detail-oriented Bakery Associate to join our team! In this role, you’ll be an essential part of our daily operations—creating beautiful, high-quality decorated cookies, mixing fresh dough from scratch, and delivering outstanding service to our customers.

  • Experience: Decorating or commercial baking experience is preferred, but not required. We are happy to train the right person who brings enthusiasm, initiative, and a strong work ethic!

Hours & Availability Requirements
  • Shift Length: 6–8 hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM.
  • Flexibility: Must be available for opening and closing shifts (mid-day only shifts are not available).
  • Location Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work at both our North and South Lincoln locations as scheduled.
  • Weekend Availability: Must be available to work at least 2 Fridays/Saturdays per month.
  • Holiday Season Availability: Must maintain reliable availability leading up to and around peak holiday seasons.
Key Responsibilities
  • Decorating & Baking: Craft eye-catching decorated cookies to keep our display cases full and fulfill custom special orders. Scoop, bake, frost, and package products with high quality and consistency.
  • Dough & Frosting Preparation: Follow precise recipes to weigh, measure, and mix dough and frosting using commercial bakery equipment.
  • Inventory & Maintenance: Label, stock, and rotate ingredients; sanitize workstations, equipment, and storage areas; sweep and handle trash removal to maintain a spotless kitchen.
  • Customer Service & Teamwork: Provide warm, efficient service to every customer. Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily production goals and ensure timely order completion.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Punctuality & Reliability: Strong time-management skills with the ability to work all scheduled shifts consistently.
  • Fast-Paced Efficiency: Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and meet tight order deadlines.
  • Soft Skills: Friendly, outgoing, and approachable demeanor with strong communication and basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, reach, and frequently lift/carry 10–25 lbs (and occasionally up to 50 lbs).
