AWS Network Engineer
Location: Parsippany, NJ
Type: Contract Role
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud network solutions. The role involves managing AWS networking services, infrastructure as code, and supporting containerized environments while ensuring network security and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage VPCs, subnets, routing tables, NAT Gateways, VPNs, Aviatrix, and Direct Connect Links.
  • Configure and manage AWS networking services such as Route53, Transit Gateway, Network Firewall, WAF, and DDoS protection.
  • Implement network security controls (Security Groups, NACLs, encryption protocols).
  • Monitor and optimize network performance, troubleshoot latency, connectivity, and availability issues.
  • Perform system troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains.
  • Apply security patching and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Proactively monitor and review server logs, fixing issues as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, ACLs, DNS, security).
  • Proficiency with DNS services, traffic flow, and health checks.
  • Experience designing hub-and-spoke network topologies for multi-VPC and hybrid connectivity.
  • Strong expertise with Terraform and CloudFormation (IaC).
  • Hands-on experience with Argo CD, Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration and commands.
  • Experience with Ansible for configuration management.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and their management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
