The Bell AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom make up the US Marine Corps' Light Attack Helicopter fleet, providing a vast array of mission critical capabilities to Marines and their allies. The Bell H-1 Program is working on numerous engineering projects to increase the lethality and lifespan of the Viper and Venom.  It is an exciting time for both the H-1 and Bell, come join our team and make a difference for the warfighters of today and tomorrow.

This is a work onsite role at Bell's Fort Worth, TX headquarters.  

Avionics Integration Engineer, AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom Team. 

The Avionics Integration Engineer will be responsible for developing, managing, and communicating the integration & test requirements for military upgrade development programs to internal and external customers.

What you'll be doing as an Avionics Integration Engineer:

         Apply engineering principles to investigate, design, develop, implement, test, and analyze avionics systems integrations.

         Perform hardware and software integration testing of multiple systems operating together in a systems integration lab.

         Support all phases of development from design, qualification, integration testing, flight test, and production to meet customer requirements.

         Create system performance specifications, interface control documents, and test plans/procedures

         Performs air vehicle and systems level analysis to verify performance requirements are met

         Suggest design improvements / spiral opportunities to improve current integrated avionics and weapon system capabilities.

         Provide technical guidance and oversight of subcontractors to verify performance, cost, and schedule requirements are met. Works closely with the Business Development organization to propose technical solutions to support new business opportunities.

Skills You Bring To This Role:

         Bachelor's degree in engineering required. Prefer Electrical Engineering Degree. Bachelor's degree in other Engineering disciplines may be considered with relevant integration experience with systems required below. 

         Minimum 2 years of engineering experience with engineering processes including requirements definition, requirements allocation, requirements validation, requirements verification, integration, configuration management, and system safety.

         Must have integration experience with one or more of the following systems:   Multi-function Displays, Digital Map, GPS, IFF, ADS-B, TCAS, ILS, Radar Altimeter, Air Data, MUOS, VHF/UHF radios, SATCOM, or Datalinks.

         Experience with qualification to standards such as RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1760, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-464.

         Must have the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate across multiple internal and external organizations.

         Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.

         Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance
