About the Role

Vamonos IT is seeking a Unified Communications (UC) Telecom Administrator responsible for the provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise voice and Unified Communications platforms. This role ensures reliable, secure, and high-quality communication services throughout all of our Federal Customer's locations. The ideal candidate will manage endpoint provisioning, carrier coordination, user access support, escalation handling, and continuity-of-mission communications while supporting modernization initiatives and the transition to a Microsoft Teams-based UC environment.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in telecommunications and UC technologies, including:
    • Avaya Government Cloud telephony
    • Cisco Unified Communications infrastructure
    • Microsoft Teams collaboration services
  • Proficiency in endpoint provisioning and lifecycle management
  • Experience coordinating with telecommunications carriers and service providers
  • Experience supporting enterprise communication platforms and ensuring SLA compliance
  • Technical knowledge of hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
  • Ability to manage escalations and continuity-of-mission communications
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Familiarity with modernization and cloud migration initiatives
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and escalations
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Must be local as this is a 100% onsite role.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Collaboration or equivalent certification
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certification
  • Experience supporting federal agencies or enterprise telecommunications environments
  • Experience with enterprise UC modernization programs


Responsibilities

  • Provision, configure, and maintain enterprise voice and UC platforms
  • Coordinate carrier services and telecommunications support activities
  • Manage user access, endpoint deployment, and communication services
  • Resolve incidents, troubleshoot issues, and support service restoration
  • Monitor platform performance and ensure compliance with established SLAs
  • Support continuity-of-mission communication requirements
  • Assist with migration and modernization projects, including Microsoft Teams adoption
  • Work closely with vendors, customers, and technical teams to maintain operational excellence
  • Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
