Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated AV / Low Voltage Installation Specialist to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in audiovisual systems, low voltage cabling, IT infrastructure, and commercial installations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.

This role will support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems, data infrastructure, lighting systems, and low-voltage technologies across commercial facilities.


Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, and test:
    • CAT6 and CAT7 cabling
    • Coaxial cabling
    • Data lines and network infrastructure
    • LED lighting connectors and controls
    • General low-voltage wiring systems
  • Install and support:
    • Audio/Visual systems
    • TVs, displays, speakers, amplifiers, and control systems
    • Network hardware and structured cabling systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Troubleshoot AV, network, and low-voltage connectivity issues
  • Maintain organized wiring, labeling, and cable management standards
  • Assist with IT-related setup including:
    • Routers
    • Switches
    • Wireless access points
    • Basic network troubleshooting
  • Ensure all installations meet safety standards and company quality expectations
  • Communicate professionally with team members, vendors, and clients on-site


Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in:
    • AV installation
    • Low voltage systems
    • Structured cabling
    • IT/network support
  • Experience with:
    • CAT6/CAT7 terminations
    • Coax cable installation
    • Data line testing
    • LED lighting systems/connectors
    • Rack builds and cable management
  • Familiarity with:
    • Network infrastructure
    • Basic IT troubleshooting
    • Commercial installation environments


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial gyms, offices, retail, or hospitality environments
  • Knowledge of AV control systems
  • Certifications are a plus:
    • Low Voltage
