LOCATION: Madison Elementary School/Early Childhood Center

DESCRIPTION






Madison District Public Schools is seeking a full-time Art Teacher at the elementary level for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for the arts, integrate art history and cultural perspectives, and foster a classroom environment that encourages experimentation, problem-solving, and critical thinking. They will be committed to supporting students of all ability levels and using a variety of mediums, techniques, and technologies to enhance learning.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Michigan teaching certificate in Art Instruction, LQ Endorsement
  • Knowledge of art education pedagogy and Michigan Academic Standards for Visual Arts.
  • Ability to work with students across a range of artistic abilities and grade levels.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver visual arts lessons aligned with state and district standards.
