Patient Access Liaison - Urology
Full Time - 40 Hours - Day Shift
Location: Detroit Campus-2799 W. Grand Blvd Detroit MI 48202

We are seeking a Patient Access Liaison to join our team and play a key role in ensuring patients receive timely access to care. In this position, you will serve as the central scheduling expert for a designated clinical specialty, partnering with providers, referring offices, contact centers, and operational teams to optimize provider schedules and improve the patient experience.

As a Patient Access Liaison, you will:
  • Serve as the primary owner of the product line master schedule templates across all practice locations.
  • Manage and implement all provider schedule changes while maintaining standardized scheduling practices.
  • Monitor outpatient provider availability and proactively identify opportunities to improve patient access.
  • Collaborate with Contact Center, Regional Practice Operations (RPO), clinic leadership, and providers to optimize scheduling workflows.
  • Act as the centralized scheduling resource for patients, referring providers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain consistent provider master schedules across the service line to ensure scheduling accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate schedule maintenance, provider time-off requests, clinic changes, and template updates.
  • Analyze scheduling trends and recommend improvements to maximize provider utilization and patient access.
  • Ensure scheduling protocols and procedures are consistently followed across all practice locations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while responding promptly to scheduling needs and operational priorities.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a healthcare or business office environment.
  • Experience scheduling patient appointments and maintaining provider schedules.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working within a patient scheduling system.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or completion of two or more years of college coursework.
  • Experience analyzing and preparing physician schedules.
  • Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience.
  • Previous experience supporting multiple providers or practice locations.
