Job description

Interested in working at a historical and unique venue in the heart of Cleveland's University Circle? We are currently seeking a candidate interested in the position of Sales and Event Coordinator. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, detail oriented, and creative sales minded person that is responsible for facilitating the event planning process with superior customer service skills, a high level of professionalism, and willingness to handle all planning and administrative details of the event. You have exceptional communication and time management skills, like to think outside the box, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You work well under pressure, are a team player, problem solver, and have a positive attitude.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Impeccable customer service skills – you will be interacting with different market segments & vendors to ensure the perfect event.
  • Work with Director of Special Events and Director of Sales to achieve sales goals by sending and following up on proposal and conducting site tours and other tasks as needed.
  • Communicate with booked clients & vendors regarding event details, food and beverage, timelines, setup of the space, and audio visual.
  • Build relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Order linens, audio visual, and valet
  • Create diagrams for each event.
  • Light to moderate banquet & event setup and teardown of event space, setup & cleanup of beverage stations
  • Assist in managing bar and valet staff.
  • Onsite day of event coordinator, greeting and guiding guests & vendors
  • Have an all-hands-on deck mentality – you are not afraid to jump in and get your hands dirty

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in the hospitality, event planning/coordination, or catering industry preferred
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and proactive in meeting strict deadlines.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Familiar with Social Tables
  • Strong language (written and oral) skills, a love for clear, impactful communication
  • Able and willing to work weekends/evenings and occasional holidays
