Job description

About the Opportunity

Are you the kind of person who can fix just about anything and loves a challenge? At SRM Concrete, we're looking for a Plant Maintenance Technician who thrives on variety and takes pride in keeping things running-no matter what the day brings. If you enjoy working with your hands, solving problems on the fly, and making a real impact every shift, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities
  • Keep our plant running strong by handling a wide range of maintenance tasks-no two days are ever the same.
  • Inspect equipment and systems regularly to spot issues before they become problems.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to help avoid breakdowns and keep production moving.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they come up, using your skills and resourcefulness to get us back on track fast.
  • Put your welding know-how to work fabricating, repairing, or reinforcing plant equipment and structures.
  • Work closely with plant leaders to prioritize what needs fixing first, always with an eye on what keeps the plant running best.
  • Keep clear records of your work-what you fixed, what parts you used, and how long it took-so we always know our plant's maintenance history.
  • Stay sharp by learning new techniques and keeping up with the latest safety protocols.
  • Team up with outside experts when a job calls for specialized skills.
  • Help keep the plant safe by spotting hazards and taking action to correct them.
  • Jump in wherever you're needed-because at SRM, everyone pitches in to get the job done.
What Sets You Apart
  • Hands-on experience in plant, industrial, or manufacturing maintenance. Experience in a concrete plant is a big plus.
  • Skilled in electrical work, plumbing, and welding-certifications are great, but a can-do attitude goes a long way.
  • Quick-thinking problem solver who can tackle tough repairs under pressure.
  • Strong communicator who works well both solo and as part of a team.
  • Committed to safety and familiar with plant safety rules and regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or a vocational degree is a bonus.
  • Valid driver's license and comfortable operating plant machinery.
  • Willing to complete SRM's pre-employment screenings.
  • Ready to step up for emergency repairs-even if it means nights or weekends.
