Job description

As a Sourcing Recruiter supporting the Compute-Plex and ML Services org, you will own the full sourcing lifecycle for highly specialized engineering and technical roles across leaders. You will partner closely with Recruiting Business Partners, Recruiting Managers, and senior technical Hiring Managers to build proactive talent pipelines - with a particular focus on Software Development Engineers (SDE), Cloud Hardware Development Engineers (CHDE), and Systems Development Engineers.
Key job responsibilities
- Developing and executing multi-channel sourcing strategies to attract passive, world-class technical talent across Compute, PLEX, Hardware Engineering, and ML/AI domains
- Building and maintaining robust, always-on candidate pipelines for evergreen and specialized engineering roles within EC2, Nitro, HWEngS, PLEX, and ML/AI organizations
- Conducting weekly hiring manager sourcing sessions and contributing qualified candidates to established talent pools
- Performing proactive outreach, candidate engagement, and initial screening to assess technical background, career motivations, and role alignment
- Partnering with Recruiting Business Partners to ensure a seamless candidate experience from first contact through offer
- Continuously mapping target companies, talent ecosystems, and technical communities relevant to Compute and ML Services hiring needs
- Supporting and leading sourcing sessions with builders and technical teams to generate referral leads and candidate pipelines
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date candidate records, pipeline metrics, and sourcing activity in recruiting systems
- Communicating sourcing progress, pipeline health, and market insights to stakeholders through regular updates
- Contributing to team-wide sourcing best practices, training initiatives, and process improvements
A day in the life
You will spend your days identifying and engaging passive technical candidates across some of the most specialized and competitive talent pools in the industry. From mapping hardware engineering talent for Instant Platforms and HWEngS to building pipelines for EC2 and ML/AI services, no two searches are the same. You will collaborate daily with other recruiters and hiring managers, share market insights, and drive creative sourcing strategies - including sourcing sessions, referral campaigns, and target company mapping - that keep the org ahead of the competition for top technical talent.
About the team
The Compute-Plex and ML Services Recruiting Team supports one of AWS's most strategically critical and technically complex organizations. The org spans EC2, Compute Services, Hardware Engineering Services (HWEngS), Instance Platforms/Nitro, Bedrock, Sagemaker, internal builder tools, and ML/AI infrastructure - the foundational layers that power Amazon and AWS at global scale.
To fuel continued growth, we are looking for a Sourcing Recruiter who is passionate about identifying and engaging top passive technical talent across some of the most competitive and niche hiring markets in the industry.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of corporate or search firm progressive recruiting or research experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of full-time Amazon experience
- Experience with contact management system/applicant tracking system for sourcing, tracking and managing candidates
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing high volume as well as niche hiring
- Experience leading or participating in technology hiring events, technology mixers, and regular attendance and participation at technology meetups and technology user groups

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
