Job description

Martekhas been awarded several long-term Federal contracts to provide a wide range of real estate talent. Our team is seeking a Technical Writer with AI Expertise to join our team supporting the Department of Energy (DoE) with the required education and experience outlined below.
Full-Time, 5 Days a week
Site Address: 1000 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20024
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Develop, maintain, and standardize relocation documentation, including move plans, SOPs, checklists, and user guides.
  • Translate complex technical, safety, IT, and facilities requirements into clear, actionable documentation for diverse stakeholders.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., generative AI, document automation platforms) to accelerate drafting, version control, and content consistency.
  • Support knowledge management by organizing documentation repositories and implementing search/tagging structures.
  • Collaborate with facilities, IT, safety, and asset management teams to capture requirements and updates in real time.
  • Produce executive-level briefings, status reports, and transition documentation.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with federal standards, DOE policies, and records management requirements.

Job Qualifications:
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Information Science, or related field.
  • Advanced degree (Master's) preferred, especially with coursework in AI, data science, or information management.

Experience Requirements
Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
