The position provides fiscal service and support to all Department of Medicine investigators for the submission and financial management of grants. These functions include: completing budget revisions and projections, analyzing run rate for expenditure, maintaining accurate effort reporting/certification, reviewing/monitoring of individual grants and transactions for compliance with private, local, state and federal policies and regulations, and financial grant reporting for granting authorities.Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field plus two (2) years of

experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Complete payroll accounting adjustments to ensure accurate payroll expenditure according to run rate
  • Submission of grant proposals to federal and non-federal sponsors
  • Budget revisions/projections for grants corresponding with run rate
  • Reviewing/monitoring of individual grants and transactions for compliance
  • Financial grant reporting to granting authorities
  • Maintain accurate effort reporting/certification
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Coordinates with internal and external customers to answer questions, convey information, and resolve accounting issues
  • Compiles reports, supporting documentation, and analysis as needed to assist management.
