Job description

MORSE Corp is seeking Full Stack Software Engineer Co-ops to develop software to test, evaluate, and deploy machine learning at scale, help the warfighter plan and execute missions, and bring automation to complex test range missions. Experience with a broad range of development stacks is highly desired. Candidate should be a highly motivated self-starter with good communication skills and should be able to work in an iterative and agile development style. If you have a broad set of software skills and are interested in building full stack web apps, software infrastructure to support AI/ML, and cloud hosted applications then you could be a good match!


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assisting in the development of custom software packages and full stack applications/tools for a variety of DoD customers

  • Perform web development using Python

  • Perform front end development using React

  • Leverage AWS or Azure tools to improve our deployments, and various DevSecOps tasks

  • Developing software solutions for the analysis of complex/big data problems

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

  • Participate in code reviews, providing good feedback on code you review, as well as being receptive to feedback on your code

  • Working with and integrating the latest open-source software tools & algorithms to solve novel and challenging problems

  • Customer interaction, including opportunities to present your work


REQUIREMENTS:
  • US Citizenship required and ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

  • Working towards a BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering. or related subject

  • Working knowledge of full stack software application development architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

  • Experience with Python

  • Experience with JavaScript or React and other programming languages

  • Solid understanding of version control systems (we use Git)

  • Experience with tools including Docker, Kubernetes and Spark

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms 
  • Good communication skills and the ability to have fun when workingÂ
