Woodward Tahoe (Boreal and Soda Springs), located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain range, is a year-round world-class action sports facility with a culture that comes straight from our main product: Fun. The Camp Coach's mission is to foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for kids while at camp. Coaching is about more than just being good at your sport. The successful Summer Camp Coach must also have the ability to communicate effectively with guests and campers of all ages as well as fellow team members, share a passion for learning, and demonstrate the desire to include everyone in our action sports community. Summer Camp Coaches are responsible for their campers throughout the full day, including meal and activity times.

The Camp Coach may specialize in one of our five main sports: Parkour, Scooter, Skateboard, BMX, and MTB, and may also spend time with our Multi-Sport campers, introducing the basics of all our Action Sports!

While every day is different and our roles may shift based on business needs, here is what you can expect to dive into in this role as a Camp Coach:

  • Develop caring relationships with campers and help provide the best camp experience

  • Provide high quality instruction for safe skill progression and a fun learning environment

  • Communicate with medical staff regarding injuries and special needs

  • Participate in recreation activities with enthusiasm and encourage campers to do the same

  • Check-in arriving campers each day and be aware of all procedures

  • Assist with daily check-out of campers

  • Maintain a positive attitude and arrive to shifts on time

  • Uphold highest standard of professionalism in appearance and behavior at all times

  • Behave in a manner appropriate to our youngest campers (5 years old)

  • Other duties as assigned

Certification & Education Requirements:

  • Current CPR and first aid certification preferred

  • Experience working with younger children preferred

  • Summer camp experience preferred

  • Action sports experience required

Position Requirements:

  • Can handle fast paced, potentially high-pressure environment

  • Flexible with hours and days of work; can work any hours of the day, any days of the week
