Fulfillment Associate - Frozen Food Distribution
The Fulfillment Associate plays an essential role in supporting order preparation, inventory movement, and warehouse accuracy within a temperature-controlled distribution environment. This position ensures that customer orders are picked, packed, staged, and loaded accurately and efficiently while upholding food safety, cold chain, and operational standards. The associate collaborates with warehouse leadership, inventory teams, and transportation partners to maintain workflow, quality, and service reliability within a controlled distribution environment. Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Order Picking & Packing
  • Accurately pick products using RF scanners

  • Verify item quantities, lot codes, dates, and product condition before packing.

  • Build, wrap, and label pallets to meet customer and carrier requirements.

  • Ensure frozen temperature integrity during handling and staging.

2. Inventory Handling & Stock Replenishment
  • Replenish pick slots according to demand and FEFO rotation rules.

  • Report shortages, damages, and mis slots to inventory control

  • Assist with cycle counts and investigate stock discrepancies.

  • Maintain product organization and cleanliness within assigned areas.

3. Shipping & Loading Support
  • Stage completed orders in designated loading zones.

  • Assist loaders with trailer organization to ensure correct routing and load sequence.

  • Confirm pallet counts, labels, and load quality before sealing trailers.

  • Communicate issues such as delays, missing items, or temperature concerns.

4. Safety, Compliance & Warehouse Standards
  • Follow all food safety, OSHA, and cold storage handling procedures.

  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently.

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow 5S standards.

  • Report safety hazards, near misses, and damaged equipment immediately.

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution operations.

  • Experience in frozen or refrigerated warehousing preferred.

  • Familiarity with RF scanners, WMS systems, and pallet handling equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet productivity and accuracy goals.

  • Ability to work in sub-zero environments with proper PPE.
