Job description

JOB TITLE: Fulfillment Center Associate, Tier l
REPORTS TO: Fulfillment Account Manager
OVERVIEW OF ROLE: To ensure the efficient, accurate and timely handling of Inbound and Outbound activity of the facility. These duties include but are not limited to picking of orders, unloading of inbound trucks, checking of shipments, loading of outbound shipments, safety/housekeeping functions, and other duties as assigned in accordance of customer requirements. Follows work instructions from the warehouse manager to achieve operational parameters of the facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs distribution services including receiving, shipping, order selection, put away and inventory control.
  • Follows all safe loading principals to ensure the safety and security of all DOT vehicles.
  • Operates all types of manual warehousing equipment that include pallet jacks, order picking cart with attached 3-step ladder, and various other manual material handling equipment. Utilizes RF based scanners for inventory tracking.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties to include, but not limited to, using a push broom, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash receptacles, as needed.
  • Assists in the development and facility layout to optimize storage capacities in the facility.
  • Follows customer requirements for all distribution functions to meet service standards specific for all customers.
  • Maintains a courteous and professional relationship with all customers to ensure future growth and continual good relationships.
  • Maintains inventory integrity by thoroughly and accurately receiving and picking merchandise and auditing outbound orders for accuracy.
  • Reports all internal damage to the warehouse supervisor. Assist in the recouping of damages.
  • Maintains a safe and harmonious work environment. Reports all safety risks and work related injuries to the warehouse supervisor.
  • Assists in the compliance of Federal and State safety regulations.
  • All other distribution and transportation tasks to ensure the operations of the facility as assigned by management.
  • The ability to safely navigate and use a pick cart and/or ladder in the handling and/or researching of inventory.

Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 6 months working experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.
  • Must be customer focused with good people skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi task and accept multiple assignments based on the warehouse supervisor's priorities.
  • Must have an understanding of OSHA regulations.
  • Must wear steel-toed or composite shoes/boots and other required safety apparel.
  • Must be computer literate and able to operate radio frequency scanners.
  • Ability to work multiple shifts and required hours as the business needs change to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with others to accomplish tasks.
  • Ability to understand and follow customer requirements while maintaining cost effective measures.
  • Must participate in random drug testing of all non-DOT employees.
