Job description

OVERVIEW:

At Sightglass we carefully craft each and every aspect of what we do, from how we source our coffees, to how we serve them. This also includes the packaging of our products, performed daily by our valued Production team members. The ideal candidate will be motivated, understands the importance of the details, and can share in the sense of pride we take in our work. The Fulfillment Team Member position is responsible for a series of tasks directly related to our wholesale distribution, cafe service, and final packaging presentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with Fulfillment Supervisor and Roastery Department to fulfill and expedite daily orders.
  • Prepare and restock bags, tags, and materials needed on a daily basis.
  • Weigh and package coffees accurately
  • Wholesale and mail order fulfillment
  • Assist Wholesale customers with pick-ups & deliveries.
  • Assist in inventory counts and communicate needs to the production manager.
  • Constantly maintain a clean work environment-thoroughly clean fulfillment area
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • Applicants must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Passionate about coffee with a desire to learn more.
  • Ability to work full-time, occasional weekends, and some evenings.
  • Must have the maturity to use discretion and diplomacy in all aspects of the job.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to work shifts while standing or walking for the majority of the time.
  • Specific abilities required by this job include operating a variety of equipment including using hands and fingers to seal, scoop, weigh coffee, and assemble boxes.
  • Able to grasp, lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds and up to 135 pounds with assistance as needed.
  • Able to maneuver effectively around the workspace.
