Research Intern

Fujitsu Research America’s Physical AI team invites applications for research internships in Human-AI Interaction and Robotics. Interns will research and build systems that integrate LLMs, machine learning, computer vision, and robotics models, with the goal of publishing at top-tier conferences. Selected candidates will work with FRA’s Pittsburgh office, either remotely or in person. The internship is expected to last 12–24 weeks, with an anticipated start date in Fall 2026 and possible extension to Winter 2026.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, ML, or related discipline in the U.S.

  • Proficiency in Python programming

  • Experience with ML/CV/Robotics

Preferred Qualifications

  • First-author publications at top-tier Robotics, AI, or HCI conferences such as ICRA, IROS, RSS, CoRL, NeurIPS, ICRL, ICML, AAAI, CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, CHI, UIST, etc.

  • Experience with ROS or other robot software and libraries
