Job description

Summary
We are seeking a full-time board-certified Interventional Radiologist to join our team at Hemet Global Medical Center. The medical center is located in the city of Hemet surrounded by the San Jacinto mountains in Southern California. The position offers an excellent work-life balance with Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM coverage, and no evening or weekend call responsibilities. Interested IR applicants would be working with a highly experienced IR staff, have radiology residents to help, as well as available backup by senior IR faculty. The site qualifies for J1 waiver/visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive interventional radiology coverage and perform a wide range of image-guided procedures
  • Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of highly experienced IR techs, RNs, and administrative staff
  • Share Cath lab access with vascular surgery (equipped with a Toshiba Infinity Unit)
  • Utilize Fuji Synapse PACS and Nuance PowerScribe for imaging and dictation
  • Participate in clinical teaching opportunities for radiology residents and medical students from affiliated residency programs
  • Coordinate with practice administrator for vacation and backup coverage

  • Bone marrow aspirations
  • Tunneled central venous catheter placement
  • PVD procedures
  • IVC filter placement
  • Image-guided biopsies (renal, liver)
  • Nephrostomy tube placements
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • California Radiology Supervisor and Operator License
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Radiology Residency and Interventional Radiology Fellowship
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Interventional Radiology
  • Active California Medical License (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of post-training IR experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong procedural skills and the ability to work independently
