Job description

Job Summary:

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all field construction activities related to the expansion of i3 Broadbandโ€™s fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network. This role provides leadership across construction operations, contractor performance, quality control, and community engagement to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with approved designs, permits, and company standards.

The Construction Supervisor serves as the primary field leader and is accountable for maintaining strong relationships with contractors, municipalities, and the communities in which i3 operates.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Leadership & Construction Oversight

  • Manage day-to-day construction activities across assigned markets
  • Ensure all work is performedin accordance withapproved construction drawings, permits, and industry standards
  • Maintain consistent field presence to verify production, quality, and safety compliance
  • Track production across underground and aerial construction activities
  • Identifyrisks to schedule, budget, or quality and ensuretimelyresolution
  • Keep the Construction Manager informed of status and risks
  • Coordinate with inspectors and quality control teams as needed
  • Contractor & Performance Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for construction contractors and their supervisors
  • Hold contractors accountable for safety, quality, production, and reporting standards
  • Address performance issues and escalate as necessary
  • Ensure crews are properly staffed, trained, and equipped

Plans, Permits & Compliance

  • Ensure all work aligns with approved permits and municipal requirements
  • Interface with local agencies andpermitauthorities to resolve issues or secure approvals
  • Coordinate with Engineering to resolve field conflicts and document changes
  • Enforce safety policies, damage prevention practices, and regulatory compliance

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Oversee communication with municipalities, neighborhood associations, and key stakeholders
  • Support proactive outreach efforts to ensure communities are informed of construction activities
  • Address escalated resident concerns and ensuretimelyresolution
  • Reinforce i3 Broadbandโ€™s brand through professional representation in the field

Quality & Reporting

  • Ensureaccuratedocumentation of construction progress, changes, and issues
  • Monitor inspection feedback and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Keep Construction Manager informed of project status, risks, and performance metrics

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in telecommunications or utility construction
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Working knowledge of utilitylocateprocesses and 811 requirements
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with clean driving record
  • Experience with both underground and aerial construction(preferred)
  • FTTH construction experience(preferred)
  • Experience managing multiple contractors and crews(preferred_
