Job description

Job Duties:
The Psychiatrist will be assigned to care for approximately 24 patients (hereinafter referred to as "clients") on FTC's Ward E, which is part of FTC's Forensic Rehabilitation Program (FRP).
Ward E clients have serious mental illnesses as well as antisocial traits.
Their average length of stay at FTC is four to five years.
Ward E has about one to two admissions and discharges every two months.
Many Ward E clients participate in FTC's Client Work Program (CWP).
The Psychiatrist will work as part of a team of friendly and collaborative colleagues.
The Ward E treatment team includes a psychologist, two social workers, a dietician, a rehabilitation therapist, and a pharmacist.
The Psychiatrist will be scheduled to work approximately 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Psychiatrist will be required to enter notes in each Ward E client's medical record as follows.
• An Admission Note completed within 60 hours of the client's admission
• Weekly Notes for eight weeks following the client's admission, then Monthly Notes thereafter
• A Discharge Summary completed within 30 days of the client's discharge.
The Psychiatrist must be currently licensed to practice in Missouri and have current Missouri Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD) registration and current Missouri Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
The Psychiatrist will be required to attend FTC orientation and training.
Orientation will be conducted during daytime hours, between approximately 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

• Government-Issued Photo Identification Card
• Family Care Safety Registry check
• Authorization for Release of Information by Law-Enforcement Agencies (Attachment 1)
• Fingerprint Search Results (see Attachment 2)
• Negative TB test (2-part PPD or chest x-ray) with results not exceeding one year old
