Position Summary:
As the Outside Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in expanding the company's customer base by opening new business opportunities and nurturing existing customer relationships. In this position, you will be responsible for visiting existing customers, opening new accounts, and fostering customer growth within a team-based sales model. Collaboration with various departments is crucial to optimize sales efforts and enhance customer service.
Position's Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a vehicle to visit new and existing customers, open new accounts, and promote the growth of existing customer relationships.
  • Develop strong customer relationships within a team-based sales approach.
  • Collaborate with related departments to streamline sales efforts and enhance customer service.
  • Utilize available resources to target top entry opportunities and successfully open new accounts.
  • Identify prospective customers using market intelligence databases and business directories, following leads from existing clients.
  • Stay updated on market conditions, product innovations, competitors' products, prices, and sales, and provide this information to the General Manager and Sales Manager.
  • Communicate with customers and assist in accounts receivable collection as needed, working closely with the billing department and clients to collect outstanding balances based on approved credit terms.
  • Resolve issues related to late payments or overdue accounts by contacting customers and coordinating payments with the billing team.
  • Manage delivery schedules published by the logistics department and troubleshoot any order-related problems (e.g., delivery errors, shortages, stock-outs).
  • Diligently track all sales activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Starting Pay: $26.24/hr., Depending on Experience
Pay Range: $26.24 - $38.05/hr.

Position Requirements:
  • Minimum of a High School diploma or its equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Motor vehicle record in good standing.
  • 1 - 2 years of sales experience or culinary/restaurant management experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Asian Food products.
  • Asian language proficiency is a plus.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as customer service and presentation abilities.
  • Problem solving ability and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
