GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Production Planning & Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate, organized, and integrity driven production records across both FruitSmart locations. This role ensures full compliance with internal control procedures and upholds the accuracy of all data within ERP and related database systems. The coordinator supports production operations by monitoring inventory levels, planning, and scheduling activities. Preforms clerical and administrative tasks that facilitate efficient production control and the smooth flow of materials required to meet production schedules. Collaborates with internal stakeholders for production scheduling to meet sales demands as well as to expedite orders and resolve problems. The role contributes to the development and refinement of inventory control concepts and production and procedural improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compiles and maintains comprehensive production information, including production rates, material usage, production progress, and customer‑related details and specs, ensuring all associated reports are accurately updated
  • Creates, maintains, reviews, and finalizes all production work orders while collaborating closely with all production departments to ensure accuracy of inventory consumption, finished product outputs and costing
  • Maintains thorough documentation of inventory flow, ensuring proper filing practices and preparing detailed reports for upper management
  • Verifies availability of items scheduled for shipment by reviewing inventory records or coordinating with the warehouse team on physical inventory checks as needed
  • Updates the inventory database to reflect new, modified, or discontinued items in a timely and accurate manner
  • Conducts in depth research, with the warehouse team, to identify and resolve production and inventory discrepancies
  • Assists in identifying and developing solutions for specific operational, production, or inventory‑related issues
  • Supports the execution of departmental projects and provides recommendations for process improvements to relevant leadership
  • Performs additional duties and participates in special projects as assigned

WORK EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong computer proficiency, including advanced skills in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and with individuals from multiple disciplines and varying levels of experience
  • 2-3 years of inventory management/control experience
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing with prior juice manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Degree or equivalent required
  • Associates degree in Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent preferred
