Description

Los trabajadores de huerta realizan una variedad de tareas manuales y con equipo relacionadas con la produccion de cultivos de fruta de arbol, incluyendo manzanas, cerezas y otras frutas de huerta. Las responsabilidades incluyen plantar, podar, entrenar, ralear, regar y mantener los arboles frutales para promover un crecimiento saludable y fruta de alta calidad. Los trabajadores cosechan la fruta a mano de acuerdo con los estandares de tamano, color y madurez, manejandola cuidadosamente para evitar danos. Otras tareas incluyen clasificar, seleccionar, empacar, cargar y descargar fruta.

Los trabajadores utilizan escaleras, plataformas de cosecha, herramientas manuales y equipo basico de huerta de manera segura. Las tareas tambien incluyen la limpieza y saneamiento de la huerta, revisiones de sistemas de riego, eliminacion de ramas y desechos, control de aves y asistencia con la instalacion o remocion de cubiertas o mallas cuando sea necesario. Los trabajadores observan las condiciones de los arboles y cultivos y reportan problemas de plagas, enfermedades o mantenimiento a los supervisores. Todo el trabajo se realiza conforme a las normas de seguridad laboral, higiene y seguridad alimentaria.



Orchard workers perform a variety of manual and equipment-assisted tasks involved in the production of tree fruit crops, including apples, cherries, and other orchard fruits. Duties include planting, pruning, training, thinning, irrigating, and maintaining fruit trees to support healthy growth and quality fruit production. Workers hand-harvest fruit according to size, color, and maturity standards, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage. Additional responsibilities include sorting, grading, packing, loading, and unloading fruit.

Workers use ladders, picking platforms, hand tools, and basic orchard equipment safely. Duties also include orchard sanitation, irrigation checks, brush and debris removal, bird control, and assisting with installation or removal of orchard coverings or netting when required. Workers observe tree and crop conditions and report pest, disease, or maintenance issues to supervisors. All work is performed in accordance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.

Requirements
