We're looking for an individual to independently oversee our frozen department and ensure product availability, organization, and presentation meet company standards. Job Summary:
As a Frozen Lead, you will be responsible for independently managing all aspects of the frozen department, including inventory management, ordering, stocking, and merchandising. This role involves maintaining an organized freezer, executing computer-generated ordering (CGO), building displays and end caps, and ensuring product quality and availability. You will play a key role in maximizing department efficiency, minimizing shrink, and supporting overall store operations.
Examples of Duties:
• Independently manage and maintain the frozen department, ensuring shelves and displays are fully stocked and properly faced.
• Utilize CGO (Computer Generated Ordering) to maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure consistent product availability.
• Receive and break down frozen deliveries, verifying product accuracy and quality.
• Organize and maintain the backstock freezer, ensuring efficient product rotation and accessibility.
• Rotate frozen products to maintain quality and minimize shrink due to outdated or damaged product.
• Build and maintain end caps and displays to support promotions and drive sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and make adjustments as needed to support sales trends and seasonal demand.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including proper storage and temperature control of frozen items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the frozen department and storage areas.
• Provide customer assistance as needed, including locating products and answering questions.
• Communicate with store leadership regarding inventory needs, issues, or opportunities within the department.
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of frozen food products and storage requirements.
• Understanding of inventory management and ordering systems, including CGO processes.
