The Frozen Foods Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the frozen foods department, ensuring product availability, food safety compliance, inventory accuracy, and exceptional customer service. This role leads department associates, monitors performance, and maintains merchandising standards to achieve sales and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities Department Operations
  • Supervise daily operations of the frozen foods department.
  • Ensure shelves, freezers, and displays are fully stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Monitor product quality, freshness, and expiration dates.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and place replenishment orders as needed.
  • Minimize shrink, waste, and product loss.
Team Leadership
  • Schedule, train, coach, and supervise department team members.
  • Assign tasks and monitor productivity.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Promote a positive, safety-focused work environment.
Inventory & Merchandising
  • Track inventory movement and conduct cycle counts.
  • Ensure accurate receiving, storage, and rotation of frozen products.
  • Implement merchandising plans, promotions, and seasonal displays.
  • Analyze sales trends and recommend actions to improve performance.
Food Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain required freezer temperatures and equipment logs.
  • Follow proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure department compliance with health and safety standards.
Customer Service
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Assist customers with product selection and information.
  • Drive a customer-first culture within the department.
